I think about her all the time and I pray for her, but it just leaves a pit in my stomach : ( And you are right, a lot of people we know are going through so much right now.

It is so funny, but I can "hear" you talking while reading your comment lol That is a great idea that your school had, I am sure it made your dance so much more fun!

and yes I am making THE scarf! LOL I couldn't help myself ; ) Except I am using a different yarn than Courtney. The one she is using is too scratchy for me. I'll show you when you come over next week : DTonyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08110277749380524804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-961152921276045064.post-23559096412713977152010-10-10T08:54:55.015-05:002010-10-10T08:54:55.015-05:00Thank you so much, Angie! Especially because I have such a large family, I don't want people to think I regret it or anything. I definitely don't, I love my big family, but things aren't always easy, and having so many children can make things even harder sometimes. I am so NOT Michelle Duggar lolol

LOL about your Homecoming "banquet". I think that is very common among Christian schools. Funny that y'all also went bowling after : DTonyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08110277749380524804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-961152921276045064.post-38989508197371315682010-10-09T19:17:59.247-05:002010-10-09T19:17:59.247-05:00sigh. So many people around me seem to be in a valley..it's hard to not pull yourself down there sometimes by feeling overwhelmed for them. I know what you mean :) and :(
On another note..I also went to a reallllly small church school in high school and they had those dances. But instead of no dancing, through the year the whole school learned how to do dances like the waltz, cha cha, cotton-eye joe, etc...and we did that. And they actually let us slow dance...with room for the holy spirit of course. HAHA
And on ANOTHER note...are you making THE scarf? I was in the store the other day and looked at that bulky yarn and really wanted to make one..thinking of doing one for my mom. They had some gorgeous teal yarn that made me think of you.Mandshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12530391375692252998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-961152921276045064.post-44946096761369670642010-10-09T16:32:56.109-05:002010-10-09T16:32:56.109-05:00I love reading heartfelt, honest posts! Some people (myself included) tend to only publish the happy gooey stuff and nobody sees the real us.

I know exactly what you mean about the dancing. I, too, went to a small Christian high school. We went bowling after our banquet too!!!(and had more fun!) :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-961152921276045064.post-1158572032172653912010-10-09T14:39:58.231-05:002010-10-09T14:39:58.231-05:00I so appreciate your comment, Amber! And I have...I loved this post - so honest and real. And I have been feeling the same way lately...lots of friends going through tough times in their marriages and just illnesses and how did we get so lucky! I think we all go through seasons and I guess in our "bountiful" seasons is when God wants us to really reach out to our friends that are hurting....does that make sense?
Your kiddos are so gorgeous! And hope you are feeling better - nothing worse than feeling super hormonal all the time!Amberhttp://oneshabbychick.typepad.com/one_shabby_chick/noreply@blogger.com
