I'm Losing My Mind!

Or my memory at least LOL I can't remember anything lately. I was on the way home from a trip to Joann's and thought of something that I wanted to write in the blog. Well, my mind wandered to something else and then I thought, oh wait a minute, what did I want to say on the blog? I could not for the life of me remember what it was LOL I think of all sorts of things to write about throughout the day, but when I sit down to write, I can't remember any of them. Y'all have missed all kinds of great posts because of my poor memory ; ) My mind races from one subject to the next, and then thinking of everything I need to do. I often walk into a room to do something and when I get there, I can't remember what I went in there to do! I guess it is Mommy brain or old age, but whatever it is, I don't like it! I need to start carrying a notebook around with me to jot things down when I think of them LOL

Isabella has been asking to bake homemade bread all week. I used to make it all the time, but have been lazy about it lately. So, after I put Ava down for her nap, we ground the wheat berries and made bread : )

I make mine half whole wheat flour and half white flour. I also added some flax seeds. The bread is healthy, but not as dense as a brick. I used to do it all by hand, but kneading 4+ loaves of bread is exhausting, so dh bought me this Bosch mixer. It makes baking bread oh so easy : ) Which means I really have no excuse for not doing it more often.

Fresh yeast LOL Samuel lovingly told me "Mom, it looks just like your fat belly!" Well, thanks so much Samuel : / Don't you love how kids tell the truth? LOL

I had enough dough to make 5 or 6 loaves, but I made 4 and let the kids play with the rest. They made their own creations. Excuse my messy house in the background : )

Here is the bread before.....

and here is the bread after. One of the loaves spilled over the edge a little *ooops*

They have already eaten 2 whole loaves, plus *their* bread. Fresh bread doesn't last long in my house LOL

BTW I still can't remember what I wanted to say LOL

*TAG* Here's a taggy thing for you to talk about so you don't have to remember. (Copy the one on my page and fill out)

I do that memory loss thing all the time too. Like walking upstairs and standing stupefied in the hall. Or forgetting what I was supposed to get on the quick trip to the grocery. I did have an eccentric chemistry professor that would spout everything from thoughts on his formal work to grocery lists into a small tape recorder right in the middle of lecture. Guess his memory worked like ours.

And homemade bread! I make mine half and half too, but its been a while. The kids look like they had a great time!

I have a memory like a gnat, I go into a room looking for something and by the time I have got in there I can't remember what it was!

Your bread look rather yummy.

And by the way your house is anything but untidy.

That memory loss is definitely attributed to being a mom- and in my case, the older they got, not only did I loose memory, but my sanity went too. Just something to look forward to ; )
The bread looks wonderful!!!

Yum! The bread looks delicious! The childrens creations are cute, such creativity :-)

The memory-loss happens to me all the time too. And it drives me mad!! The other day I was looking for Ask, finally asked Viola if she had seen him, and she laughed and said "mom! he's on your arm!". And so he was. I was carrying him around! That probably says more about how I function on 2 hours of sleep, than it does about my memory... But still!!

If it makes you feel any better, I can never remember anything either! :) The bread looks so yummy.. it would do me no good to live near you, I would be a bread beggar. I love fresh bread. So cute how the kids made their own bread creations, I love that!
