Oliver + S Swingset Tunic and Skirt
I finally finished and took pictures of the Swingset tunic and skirt. I love this orange fabric and paired it with white linen. I machine embroidered the linen with bright orange rayon thread and added yo yo's to the straps. I also covered buttons with the orange fabric. I think it came out really cute, I love the hippy chic look of it. The tunic was a little tricky. The instructions were fine, it was just a little fiddly to put together. I will definitely make it again though, I am planning one for a friend's little girl. She passes all of her daughter's clothes down to Ava, so I figure I can make her a few cute outfits as a thank you.
Sorry, I took a bunch of pictures : ) Did I ever say how much I LOVE digital cameras!
Here is a closeup of the machine embroidery that goes around the skirt and across the bodice.
I thought these two pictures of Samuel and Ava were precious. I think I may print and frame these. I just wish Sam didn't have those big, orange arm floaties on LOL

That is too cute! I love the fabrics you chose...Makes me wish my girls were younger!!
That outfit is so cute! And so are your children :-) Just adorable.
I was sitting here thinking, an outfit like that would be cute on Viola, but she refuses to wear anything with buttons! How strange is that?!
Cute, cute, cute! Love the fabric choices and the colors are so cute on Ava. The machine embroidery is a great touch to complete that set. I'm feeling a little more inspired for when my Oliver and S patterns arrive. So adorable! Thanks for sharing!
Just found your website. Sooo cute. Love the yo yo's!
Ava looks lovely in orange! I love all the little personal touches you added. The embroidery looks great!
You're so talented. But, the dress could never be as beautiful as your daughter. She's so cute!
So cute! The dress and the kid:) The decorative stitching definitely gives it a nice, finished look.
